The company was formed in November 1979 to provide specialist floodlighting services to all sports stadiums and some of the first were Cardiff RFC (since upgraded to 900lux in 2002), Neath RFC and Abercynon RFC since updated in 2009.
In 1982 the company became a limited company and expanded into general electrical contracting. Over the next 25 years the company has achieved status as N.I.C.E.I.C. Approved Contractors (1981), Quality Assured to BSEN9001 (1995) and Construction Line Approval (2002).
We have been approved contractors to the F.A.W, since 1990 and were the first to light the National Stadium at the Arms Park in 1991.
We have either installed or currently maintain some 70% of Welsh Rugby Clubs with floodlights and similarly with Football Clubs. Some of the more high profile are Cardiff City AFC, Cardiff RFC, Cardiff Athletics Stadium, Newport Stadium Spytty Park, and Pontypridd, Neath, Llanelli, Pontypool, Bridgend and many more. We are able to provide a comprehensive list on request and are happy for you to contact any of these clubs for references.
Our company also maintains many of the Universities, Colleges and Schools etc throughout South Wales.
We are approved contractors to the City and County of Cardiff Council as well as many other Councils in South Wales. Our experienced engineers are able to certify installations to BS7671, issue PAT certificates, certify fire alarms, emergency lighting, lighting protection systems etc.
We have our own van and lorry mounted MEWP's with IPAF trained operatives for heights between 6mtrs and 22mtrs.
We carry a comprehensive range of electrical, petrol driven and mechanical winches for raising and lowering most types of hinged columns via trained and competent personnel.
All staff are 'ECS' certified i.e. Site Health & Safety Qualification for the Electrical Trade.
For full floodlighting lighting tests we use a Minolta T10 Light Meter, which is calibrated annually by the manufacturer at their works.
